The Centre

KU Laurel Tree House, a beautiful heritage listed centre which is located in Glebe, is easily accessible by public transport.

Their program is based on an emergent and play based curriculum which is derived from The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This curriculum is interest based and child focused and views children as being independent, competent, capable and unique learners who have control of their own learning and environment.

The Role

KU Laurel Tree House is recruiting for an educator with a Certificate III qualification who values making a difference in children’s lives, thrives on partnering with families, is keen to further develop their skills and wants to join a passionate, capable and dedicated team.

On offer is a permanent full time position working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday on a rotating roster, accruing one monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO). 

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have: 

  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
